“Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart”. (Proverbs 3:3)
A simple notebook and pen can be your best financial tools you can have. With every purchase or financial transaction, make a note of what you bought and its purpose. For tax purposes, it is far less stressful to take ten seconds at the time of purchase to write on your receipt than it is to try to remember the details when you are preparing your tax information. And for planning and dreaming and becoming an ‘informed shopper’, keeping track of things and ideas that catch your eye and come to mind is a simple, yet powerful strategy to then take to the Lord prayerfully to steward His plans, purposes and blessings for your life.
When you have questions about financial terms, strategies, and other financial matters, you can record them also so you can then find someone or somewhere to have them answered later. You can also use your notebook to write ideas and people the Lord brings to your mind that you can explore for possible income generating possibilities, and ways to bless others.
