If you’ve been following Financial Grace for a while you will know that a couple months ago I launched the preview program of my introductory course called, Moneyology: Rethinking the Connection Between God, Money and Real Life. This course consists of 4 weeks of home study or 6 weeks of small group study and discussion.
At the time of the launch I had been working on the course, but had been interrupted by an offer to buy the trademark for the term ‘Moneyology’. During those discussions I sensed God asking me if I wanted the sale price (which was a reasonable chunk of cash, but less than I was comfortable selling it for) or did I want 500 people whose lives would be touched by the course. I knew I wanted the 500 lives and I sensed Him telling me that He wanted the 500 lives also. I also sensed that God told me to go get the first 12 course participants, which was accomplished within a couple days. That number continues to increase despite the fact that what I thought needed to be done was an edit, has ended up becoming a full re-write of the workbook. The course itself consists of 5 video lessons (an introduction and 4 weekly lessons) plus a workbook that provides the background and application of the concepts presented in the lessons.
Why am I telling you all this? Because the course was originally conceived in 2005; first delivered in 2012; and re-written in 2015. But, God has a different plan for this program than I seem to have. I find He is challenging me at each stage of the editing, writing, recording and production. I find He’s revealing new connections and insights in the material that have been part of my teaching in the past, but not connected in the ways He’s leading the process today. I also find He’s inspiring me with fresh revelation for applying the concepts to a variety of real-life situations .
Also, I’m already hearing from preview program course participants that they are being challenged and encouraged with new ideas and strategies to approach their personal and business finances from a new perspective.
Some of the ideas have been about creating additional income, most however, are about rearranging their current finances so they can save interest charges, increase cash flow, keep their existing assets and leverage what they have to acquire new assets or required purchases. Home renovations, home purchases, car financing, employment benefits, and medical expenses are how I’ve heard how participants have been able to explore new ways to access the funds needed by shifting their mindset towards sustainable cash flow.
Here’s where you can order the preview version of the course today. You get all the content as it’s available, as well as when it’s updated. When the final publication is complete you’ll get that also, and you get all this today at less than 50% of what the completed course is anticipated to sell for.

Prosperity Seed Thought for Your Long Weekend: Wishful Thinking or Divine Knowing?
(Excerpt from Moneyology Week 2: How Get Out of Debt Will Keep You Broke and Why Debt Free = Increase)
Have you ever wanted something so badly, that if you didn’t get it life would be over? Maybe a Christmas gift when you were a kid? A relationship? A job or contract? A winning race or game? A new home? Whatever it is, God is very clear when He says that He is our shepherd and we shall not be in want (Psalm 23:1). He also is clear when He talks about hope deferred making the heart sick, and desires fulfilled is the tree of life (Proverbs 13:12).
What is our hope? What is the desire of our heart? What is the tree of life? These questions are all answered with a ‘who’; Who is our hope? Who is the desire of our heart? Who is the tree of life? The answer of course is Jesus and He has promised to be with us always (Matthew 28:20) meaning we already have the desires of our heart and all the hope we need for today. In fact we have more than enough in Him. “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT).
The issue of ‘want’ is really one of ‘belief’. Do we really believe that He is able and that He will? He does say several times in several ways that ‘those who seek the Lord lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10). Or do we look at our circumstances, our bank accounts, our age, past failures or current financial situation and project that into our future? Is our reality based on what we can see, or based on God’s promises?
These are big questions, and important ones to seriously ask yourself. My husband and I have been asking these questions ourselves as we consider where we feel God has lead us and where we know He is calling us. In our life we ‘want’ our new home and we ‘want’ Financial Grace Ministries to have a significant impact in the lives of many people. We have a vision to train, restore, feed and prosper God’s people locally and globally with practical strategies and spiritual truths! We also know that He will bring these things about as we seek Him with our whole heart.
He has repeatedly shown us both visions for the home and the ministry and we know that in the natural we don’t see ‘how’, ‘where’ or ‘when’, but we do know that He gives each of us sustaining dreams and visions that in the spiritual realm are real. Our role is to partner with God by consciously choosing to believe and act on His word, and to look to Him, not just for ‘His hand’ and what He can provide, but to Him; to know Him and to experience His peace, strength, wisdom, joy, love, patience, etc. in the waiting.
We do what we can with what we have to plant the seeds and to cultivate those seeds so that He will produce the harvest that blesses many so that everyone praises Him and knows that ‘He is the Lord’! We trust Him and His Word, and the ‘work’ is speaking, thinking and acting on His promises. We live from the position of our spiritual authority, not from the overwhelming magnitude of a task. He will bring things about as we take that position, and not sink under satan’s attempts to keep us in unbelief.
What is your burning desire? What is it you ‘want’ in life today? Why is this a ‘want’? Do you believe God will bring it about so you’re actively planting seeds in the area of the desire? Or, are you planting seeds of unbelief by denying your dream or trying to fulfil it in a way that you think makes sense based on what you can see in the natural? I’m thinking of Abram and Sarai and Hagar and Ishmael here!
For Joe and I, as we seek Him the desire for the new home and the worldwide ministry doesn’t go away, it is fulfilled by Him, today, right here, right now in our current ‘home away from home’ and current seedling ministry. The desire is fulfilled and is the tree of life, because hope isn’t deferred when it’s with you always, even to the end of days! As we seek Him, He gives us new ideas and strategies, and He reveals and confirms thoughts in His Word. One of these, has been the various ways, you can break down a significant purchase and connect it to other activities.
Wishful thinking is empty hope and can leave you discouraged and disappointed as temporary results don’t produce lasting fruit of the spirit. Divine knowing is trusting in God’s word, despite what you can see (or not see) based on your current circumstances.
I pray this is a blessing for you, and if you are interested in joining me and a few others for a weekly gathering (probably online and face to face) to learn, share and support each other as we Partner with God Today for a Debt Free Home, contact me by phone or email to discuss how and when we can come together in this area. We’ll share some of the ways God has reminded me of different strategies for real estate and business that can make sense for home buying or funding depending on your situation.
If houses are $1m in your area as they are where we live, a debt free home doesn’t necessarily mean you have to receive a lump sum of $1m to realize this vision. I believe, that if your own home has been a dream, that trying to buy or pay for it strictly through conventional thought will keep you struggling and discouraged! There are many ways to view this situation and God provides the creative thinking and all the connections and resources as we look to Him and come together as a community of believers. Let me know if you’re interested in joining me on this journey for your own debt free home! In the meantime, have a blessed long weekend and I look forward to sharing with you this fall and beyond!!
